This is a decent product. it does what it's supposed to. however, the actual cloth isn't very soft (but doesn't scratch) and it's kinda hard to get it back into the bag. It works.
The one to buy- everyone else slaps their logo on and double or more the price. I like this size for camera lenses.
I guess If you use this thing to clean your glasses is OK, too small for my camera lenses.
There are obvious cautions: if there is any dust or grit that might be abrasive on the lens, rubbing with anything is a very bad idea. Best idea is a thorough rinsing, and that's why a 4 star rating instead of 5. I use them on my binoculars, spotting scopes and cameras. The cloth is not absorbent enough to remove alot of water, so I sometimes carry a paper napkin as a blotter. I've been using these for years and they are a great help in some situations. I know many people (including me) sometimes go a long time between cleaning, and at some point the crud imbedded in the cloth will reduce cleaning effectiveness and increase danger of scratching. Sometimes dust can just be brushed away by hand. I unclip the bag and put it in my pocket to remind myself to clean the cloth.
Some sort of clip retainer would make cleaning much easier. A brush would be much better but of course I never carry one. They do a great job of removing finger smudges and smears, and can be used with lens cleaning fluid (applied to the cloth) for more stubborn crud. The cloth is sewn into the bottom of the bag, making it impossible to clean as well as I would like. I do use the cloth in the field to kind of brush or lift such dirt very carefully. Once you have done that, it is necessary to clean the cloth before using again, however. As it is, the bag can be turned inside out to facilitate cleaning. Overall, a convenient way to clean lenses in the field with minimum danger of damage.
I thought it would be a good idea to have a clip, but I thought the clip was functioning as a string on the cloth to pull it back into the case. It isn't.It's very difficult to get the cloth back in the little case, so that makes it hang out all the time, and that means you might as well not have the case. And since you can buy the cloth by itself for $3 or so at any drugstore, why bother.I ended up removing the case by snipping the threads that hold the cloth to it.
